Blush and Champagne Christmas Tree

Home for the Holidays Christmas Tree Challenge - with Decorator’s Warehouse

I was over the moon when Decorator’s Warehouse invited me to be a part of this years Christmas Tree Challenge! I was also so excited that they are offering YOU 10% off with my code “MontgoFarmhouse”

I was immediately drawn in to the HUGE selection they offer and the uniqueness of the items. The challenge was to create a tree that was representative of my own unique home decor style! I’ve tried to sum up my decor style in a few words before and it’s hard to do. I am drawn to coastal, farmhouse, cottage, modern, and glam styles. So instead of sticking to just one of these, I went with my gut and created a tree that incorporates each of these styles. And I think the result is very “MontgoFarmhouse-y”

The first Christmas in our new home I did my classic blue and white theme, the next year I added in more rustic and natural elements. This year I really wanted to add in more color but still have it compliment my soft, neutral pieces. I was being drawn to the blush and champagne colors when browsing Decor Warehouse’s site. I started my wish list off by adding these huge champagne and blush pink ornaments. From there I picked out the accent Christmas Ornaments that had glitter and snowflakes on them. To add even more texture, I then chose these flocked vine snow twig ornaments.

Next I moved on to choosing ribbon for the tree. Ribbon makes such a great base before the ornaments to go on. I always look for wired ribbon as it’s much easier to manipulate on the tree. Decorator’s Warehouse Christmas Ribbon offers endless varieties to choose from! I ended up getting these three knowing I would use the two wider ones as a the bottom ribbon and the herringbone as the top piece. I created a fun Instagram Reel of how I placed the ribbon on our tree, you can find it here!

I ordered enough ribbon so that I could create a bow for my topper as well! There are lots of YouTube tutorials on how to create a bow or you can take the ribbon to your local craft store and they will make one for you.

Once the tree’s base of ribbon and ornaments were picked out, I then went to Decorator’s Warehouse’s Christmas Sprays page. These details are where you can really make your tree stand out from the rest! Since my tree was taking a slight feminine turn, I knew I wanted to incorporate some florals to the tree. I was blown away by how beautiful Decorator’s Warehouse’s floral stems were! They have beaded ones, faux fur ones, flocked ones, and so many more!

To add even more visual interest to my tree, I picked out more sprays and stems that had pinecones, glitter berries, swirls, and beaded leaves. I knew adding in all these elements and textures were going to be my “WOW” factor!

Once I received all my beautiful items, I was ready to decorate! First, I unwrapped everything and placed them in groupings on the floor. This allowed me to take an organized approach to decorating the tree. Here is the order that I placed everything on the tree:

  1. Base ribbon

  2. Largest solid ornaments

  3. Glitter and twig accent ornaments

  4. Sprays / Stems

  5. Bow

My best advice would be to place a few of the items you’re working with on the tree then step back and take a look. This will give you a better idea of where the holes are a what looks cluttered.

In the end, it’s all about expressing yourself and having fun! That’s what I loved about this challenge! All the ladies involved came up with totally different, but all equally beautiful trees all shopping Decorator’s Warehouse amazing products. There’s not a wrong or right way to decorate a tree. These are just tips and tricks on how I did mine this year. Take a few parts or pieces you love and add your own flair to it!
