Christmas Home Tour 2020

Christmas Kitchen

With all the crazy that has went on this year, I really wanted to make our Christmas decor simple and peaceful. Last year, I added in lots of blue touches, which was nice. But this year, I left most of the blue in the attic and only got down the neutral items!

Winter Shelf Decor

I left a lot of my non-seasonal decor out and just added in some wintery details like little trees, bells, and houses. A great thing about having a pretty neutral palette is that you can make your home seasonal without removing too much!

Christmas Entryway Table

To make room for a Christmas sign, I moved this big mirror that is usually above the mantle to the entryway and I love it here. Moving larger pieces around gives your spaces a whole new look and feel! Christmas is a great time to try it out.

Christmas Bathroom

Since red would look out of place in the rest of the house, I decided to add it into our bathroom this year. I’ve been eyeing these bath mats for a couple of years and decided to get go ahead them. I love how they make this spaces we use every day bright and cheery!

Simple green wreaths that come with hooks, make the perfect addition to our bar stools. I added little white velvet bows that I made and attached with a small Bobbi pins.

Small Mudroom

I’ll be honest with you, our little mudroom area NEVER looks like this unless I’m taking a photo for my blog / IG. This is a hard working space that is full of backpacks, jackets, shoes, and everything else we drop off on our way in the door. But it sure looks cute staged for its Christmas photo!

Christmas Coffee Bar

This coffee/wine bar area has become my favorite area to decorate for the seasons. The open shelves give so much room to display both pretty and functional items like my favorite cake stand and mugs.

I love that our stockings take center stage for our Christmas mantle. The boys get so excited seeing them hung every year! I layered in white beaded garland and twinkle lights to this simple faux greenery garland from target.

Something I’ve been intentional about is creating little “vignettes” around the home. I had to google what that meant the first time I read someone posting about their vignette. Basically it means creating little “moments” in your spaces. Above and below are two of my favorite simple vignettes this year!

Christmas Vignette
Best Artificial Tree

We received this beautiful prel-lit, 9 foot, Tribeca Spruce Blue from King of Christmas this year and “it’s a beaut Clark!”

I used a lot of our ornaments from last year and also got a few new ones as well. My favorite new ones are these matte white ones from Mcgee & Co. I also enjoyed making the little wood bead ones. I got the beads from hobby lobby.

In addition to decorating the main living spaces, I expanded the Christmas cheer into the office, kids rooms, and our bedroom! It doesn’t take much to get a room in the Christmas Spirit! You can see all those spaces below.

Thanks for checking out our Christmas home tour on my blog. I appreciate you so much! I hope you are able to soak in all the magic this Christmas season has to offer friends.
