One Room Challenge: Week 3
Progress is being made! Skot finished the barn doors and we got them painted! We’ve ordered the hardware to install them so hopefully they will be up by next week!
Originally I wanted to paint the whole built in unit blue… the doors, shelves, and shiplap accent middle section. But we ran out of this beautiful custom blue paint after the doors soooo I went back to the drawing board of what to do in the middle! You will have to stay tuned to see the color I picked! I did get the shiplap though!
I was so proud of myself. I know it may not seem like that big of deal to some of you, but I went to Lowe’s all by myself and picked it out! I ran into a worker who I actually know from the pharmacy and she was so sweet to snap this for me! I was feeling like such a strong independent woman, I even declined the nice gentlemen asking to help me load it into my SUV! I said “No thanks, I got it!” As I flexed my biceps! 😛
Once I was home with my treasure, I was done being independent. I was also ready for lunch so Skot cut the shiplap to the length we needed and started installing it with his nail gun. And y’all I was only 2 pieces shy of having enough 🤣
I’ve started picking up little things here and there for the shelves! I found this cute little globe at Target and knew it would match the bigger one I’ve had my eye on for awhile!
This gray basket was the perfect size to hold our Chatbooks! I think I’m going to get one or two more for the shelves!
Thanks again for following along with me as I complete the Better Homes & Garden One Room Challenge!
