Valentine’s Day Decor
The first major holiday of 2021 is just around the corner! Yes, I consider Valentine’s Day a major holiday. I LOVE it and always have!
I’ve hosted my fair share of Galentine’s Day parties, last year’s was my biggest yet. Sadly, I won’t be hosting one this year BUT that didn’t stop me from sprinkling the pink and heart decor throughout the house!
I love picking up pink blooms this time of year when winter can seem like its lasting forever. As these pretty roses were on the way out, I got the idea to shamelessly take advantage of a pretty photo opp for Insta!
Y’all know I love styling and changing up the coffee bar decor! It’s hard to pick my favorite season to do this for but Valentine’s Day is up there for sure! I recently found these pink depression glasses in storage and cleaned them up to display! I have a feeling they will stick around all spring.
Being a boy Mama, I don’t get to decorate nurseries or bedrooms in pink so this time of year is my chance to let my girly flag fly. Last year I had heart shaped pink marshmallows in this jar. I loved the fun whimsy it brought to the space so I kept the “sweet” theme going with this cotton candy. Lemme tell ya, it’s been a task keeping little hands out of it! I’ve been letting them have little pinches here and there!
The foyer is another fun place to change up the decor and add in some seasonal cheer. I made this little custom sign through Smallwood Home. Other entryway items can be found here.
I was excited to display my “new” DIY aged vase with these cherry blossom stems in it. I have a highlight saved to my Instagram on how I made this vase and the materials to make your own can be found here.
Another recent DIY was this wood taper candle holder. Skot made it using a 4x4 piece of wood and I stained it using pickling stain! I love how it is such a statement piece and will be easy to change out the colors of candles each season.
Etsy is my go to place for unique colored taper candles at good prices! Trader Joe’s also has white ones at a great price.
Sometimes I team up with friends on Instagram to create ridiculous but beautiful things like this Valentine’s Day waffle grazing board. I can’t say my girlfriend and I complained too much after the photo shoot when we devoured it though!
